In August 2000, we started the curtains and window accessories retailing business under the brand Macy. Since then, we have expanded our product range to furniture and home accessories as well as opened retail showrooms in various locations across Malaysia.
From day one, serving and meeting the needs of our customers was important to us. There were flaws in the industry at that time in that prices and processes were not consistent and not transparent. Customers were generally under served. We wanted to change that and increase our service offerings. We wanted to ‘serve as many people as possible, the best way we know how’.
Our desire to serve and fulfill needs birthed a whole array of initiatives – coordinated merchandise planning, showroom design, promotional and marketing activities, the list goes on. Our efforts had not gone unnoticed; instead they had been recognized by the numerous industry awards accorded to us and the positive feedback we received from happy customers over the years.
In 2017, we reached an inflection point. With the advancement of technology and change of consumers’ buying preferences, industries are being disrupted. We recognized the need for change in order to continue to meet the needs of our customers. We went back to the drawing board, determined to find a better model, a better way.
Thus, Macy & Mitch was born!
To us, Macy & Mitch is like Macy, version 2. Combining the industry knowledge, experience and know how we have gathered since 2000 coupled with the help of advancement of technology, we can now serve our customers in ways that we couldn’t in the past! We hope you will like it.
